Mount Kinabalu

It was a "rash" decision, very unlike me. I'm amazed at the things I do sometimes. But that's what makes life interesting isn't it? Things people do...

Having had a long day, I SWORE to myself I will turn in early....BUT I simply got hooked onto searching for information on KK. This will be the my second time there but my virgin attempt to reach the submit. The excitement is tremendous and the thought of extending it to go diving was an even more alluring thought....

Mmm..oh well, another long day out in the sun tomorrow, time to turn off the lights and say Good Night, or should I say, Good Morning?

What do you do at 4am?

Freedom! Sometimes its hard to believe that I'm "jobless" now. But that's how I end up doing things at this time of the day when I should really be catching up on my beauty sleep. The difference is, I got to be awake by 830 tomorrow morning. ^@#@!*

I was about to shut the computer when I realised I haven booked my flight to BKI. OK, so here I am, 4am in the morning still awake. Its nothing new. I slept at 5am yesterday. Call me an owl.

This thing from a long time ago suddenly came up into my mind....FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND...came back all the way from my sec/jc days.

~ FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND ~
One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of his life;
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most
you would leave me."
"The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."
